Full-Time Role Available - Shooter / Editor

Salary Range

$80,000 - $90,000 + Super

We are seeking a focused and motivated Shooter/Editor to join our highly agile team.

LVM is a Melbourne well established content production house operating 15+ years. 

We work across multiple industries making video content for advertising, charity, energy, infrastructure, government, local council and much more.

The highly varied role will function within the camera department alongside DOP / business owner.

On any given project you may be shooting, assisting, drone spotting, running audio, teleprompting and more. We are a tight “all hands” style dynamic crew. Flexibility and a genuine team mindset are essential to our success.

Back in the edit suite you’ll work on a wide range of projects, working closely with our senior editor.

This includes working on both scripted and non-scripted content for online, social media and broadcast. You will be combining voiceover, interviews, and b-roll into engaging, well paced edits.


We work on factual, promotional, TVC, and more and bring a high level of polish to each production.

You’ll also work closely with our production manager, providing support across all stages of production.

This may include tasks such as site recce attendance, props sourcing, and general production assistance - no job is too big or too small for all of us.


The role is also deeply ingrained in the research and development side of LVM. Between productions you will help develop innovative new ways to tell stories. This will be proven with our in house team before being deployed in real production scenarios.

 Job Scope:

 - Permanent full time role. 38 hour week Monday - Friday based at our Footscray, Melbourne Studio (role is not working from home)

 - Flexibility required due to shoot timetables. (Occasional early mornings, weekends). This is a crucial aspect of the role.

- Camera operating on location and in studio

- Gear prep/de-prep and maintenance.

- Responsible for maintaining production gear to a high standard, including cleaning and upkeep of cameras, lenses, tripods, cables, and accessories.

 - Editing (Premiere Pro, offline)

- Basic animation (After Effects) titles, maps and basic graphics packages

- Basic sound design

- Basic colour grading

- Drone spotting

- Driving (automatic vehicle)

- Sound recording

- Autocue operating

- Subtitling

- Timelapse installation, maintenance and uninstallation

- Odd jobs / props collection / catering support etc

- Studio prep and de prep for client hires


- Research & Development of new technology deployments

The successful candidate MUST have:

  • Minimum of 5 years full-time industry experience.

  • Full drivers license

  • Permanent citizen of Australia

  • Proficient with Sony and RED camera systems (FX3, FX6, FX9, RED Komodo and RED Helium)

  • Proven competency in adobe creative suite (Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, After Effects)

  • A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset

  • Interest in a career journey (minimum 3 years). You will get out what you put in with us. We want the right people with skin in the game.

The successful candidate will be asked to join 3-6 shoot days (paid at pro rata rates) to ensure a good fit for both parties. Standard probationary period of 6 months to follow followed by ongoing permanent full time.
