Full-Time Shooter / Editor

LVM is seeking an experienced, full-time Shooter/editor to join our production team.

This is a career role suited for someone that wants to join a growing company and contribute to shared success.

You’ll work within the camera department alongside DOP and business owner Luke McDade. The role is highly hands on and varied. On any given project you may be shooting, assisting camera, running audio, drone spotting or operating camera solo. We’re a small, dynamic crew, so flexibility and a genuine “all hands on deck” attitude are essential to getting each project across the line.

Back in the studio, you’ll edit a wide range of projects, working closely with our Senior Editor, David Buckley-Jones. This includes working on both scripted and non-scripted content, combining voiceover, interviews, and b-roll into engaging, well paced edits.

You’ll also work closely with our Production Manager, Hayley Halkyard, providing support across all stages of production. This may include tasks such as site recce attendance, props sourcing, and general production assistance—no job is too big or too small for all of us.

Equipment care is a key part of this role. You’ll be responsible for maintaining our production gear to a high standard, including cleaning and upkeep of cameras, lenses, tripods, cables, and accessories. Strong knowledge and pride in equipment maintenance is essential.

R&D is also connected to the role. We are constantly innovating and need curious minds to help create new and interesting ways to deploy visual storytelling with our client base.

This is an on-site role, based at our Yarraville, Melbourne studio, five days per week (no work-from-home).

Travel across metro and occasionally regional areas is required with requests for overnight stays. Occasional late night and early morning shoots and weekend work is required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ full-time industry experience

• Strong shooting and editing skills

• A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset

• Proven competency in adobe creative suite (Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, After Effects)

• Proven competency in camera department with technical knowledge of Sony and RED camera systems

• Interest in a career journey (minimum 3 years)
